Saint Germain des Pres

Cafes and jazz clubs of the Saint-Germain district became famous thanks to their writers and artists. At the end of the XIXth century, Verlaine, Rimbaud and Mallarmé made the reputation of the cafés "Les Deux Magots" and "Le Café Flore". In 1925 they became the meeting point of surrealist artists but also of Picasso, Saint Exupéry or Hemingway. In the 50's , Jean Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir wrote there every day.

Go for a walk along the boulevard and leave yourself to the romance of this area where ideas always bubble up.

Saint Germain des Prés is unique because it elegantly combines fashion and culture.

This district often comapred with a village has a sturdy character. Customers who are always looking for new things rush to the numerous shops of creators. But here, more than anywhere else, the Paris style finds its letters patent of nobility. Haute couture flirts with fashion creations and some people say there is even a Saint Germain style.

In the rue Bonaparte, there are art galleries, antique dealers decoration and fashion shops, all with various forms and colours which prove that creation and history can go perfectly together.
