Le Fumoir
Upscale brasserie behind the Louvre
Set opposite the Louvre, between the rue de Rivoli and the church of Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois, Le Fumoir is one of the busiest and most trendy cafes in Pari. Its large windows, sofas, leather armchairs, cocktails, books and international press make it an ideal afternoon meeting place.
Supposedly, it has a little library at the back where you can sit and read. It has a very chic, smoky atmosphere, full of stylish fashion and art establishment types talking business over their drinks and laptop.

Giuseppe Verdi's Aida
Opera in four acts
Aida is an opera in four acts by Giuseppe Verdi to an Italian libretto by Antonio Ghislanzoni, based on a scenario often attributed to French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette. Aida was first performed at the Khedivial Opera House in Cairo on 24 December 1871, conducted by Giovanni Bottesini.
Aida is essentially about conflict. Hieratic and flamboyant, spectacular and introspective, Verdi's masterpiece returns to the Paris Opera after an absence of more than half a century.
